I’m Back! On a New Blog!

Hey guys,

I know I have been AWOL for a really long time and a lot of you probably have completely forgotten about me, haha. Anyway, I have finally decided to get back into blogging and decided it would be best to start a new blog rather than continue on this one.

This is mostly due to the fact that the new blog I wanted to create is not strictly fitness related. A lot has happened in my life since I stopped posting here and to make a long story short I have rediscovered a passion and fire for my faith in Christ. I am planning on going to seminary in the not so distant future and I wanted a place to write out my thoughts on a wide spectrum of topics but through a Christian perspective.

All that to say, I would love it if you guys would like to follow my new blog and stay in touch! I have missed the fitblr community and I am still planning on writing up my weight loss / fitness goals on my new blog. So I hope you will follow me or at the very least send me a message and say hello!

Here is the link for new blog.

Hope you are all doing well! :)

Listening to the Come on Feel The Illinois album after all this time just makes me appreciate how much of a genius Sufjan Stevens is. He is one of the all time greats in my book.

Da Holidays.

Over the course of the past two weeks I have managed to do a fine job of falling off of the proverbial wagon once again. A voice in my head said “Screw It, it’s the holidays.” and I listened to it like an obliviously foolish…fool. Didn’t eat right at all, didn’t work out, didn’t go on tumblr, pretty much switched off all the inhibitions I have built up towards an unhealthy lifestyle. However, my one saving grace is that I have been living healthier for so long now that this short vacation I took from a healthy lifestyle has felt more foreign than anything.

Now that I am back in to the groove of a normal work week and life is getting back to normal I don’t want to keep eating Reese’s peanut butter cup cheesecake, fried chicken, or anything like it. The desire to eat right and get back to the box is very much still alive in me and I know it is going to feel good to get back on track. I am fairly certain that the guys at my CrossFit box probably think I am dead, haha.

I hope you all had an awesome Christmas and holidays in my absence. I had a really wonderful Christmas myself, got a number of great gifts (including a Kindle Fire, woot!). However, my favorite part was the giving this year, I really went all out and tried to give my family the best Christmas I could. This year has been pretty rough on us what with my mom having surgery to get rid of cancer and problems with my Dad’s job. So I wanted to try and show them how much they all meant to me.

I gave my Dad a “12-Lap NASCAR Racing Experience” where he gets to drive around a real Nascar Race Track in a real Nascar car. He has been a  big Nascar fan for a long time and I knew this was something on his bucket list, so it was great to help make it happen.

For my Mom I got her a 90min Massage, Body Wrap, and Facial at a local Spa here in town. I figured after all she had been through with the surgery and recovery, it would do her a lot of good to go somewhere and let herself be pampered.

For my Sister, her big gift was an iPod nano. After she lost her first iPod she has been kind of lost without her music (being a music major) so she was happy to get a new one, haha.

Last but not least, I managed to snag a 7 Nights and Days stay at a resort of their choosing through Groupon.com which really took them by surprise. I had a big elaborate scavenger hunt laid out in the house with clues to what the gift was and they had to go around and collect them until they figured it out. It was a lot of fun and not a Christmas I will soon forget.

That’s all for now. :0)

Dragonball z of course.

How is this even a choice? Become a Z Fighter and be more powerful than all of these things combined, haha.

Hokay, the holidays are over, time to stop eating like crap and get back on track. Paleo and CrossFit are in my near future.

Well…really they’ve BEEN over. Regardless, I got work to do before summer comes around. Gotta get in better shape before hiking season starts.

Whew.

This week has been incredibly busy. There has been a lot going on at work lately and I have had to work some overtime to get things done. Combined with the general rush that is associated with the Holidays and it has been a whirlwind of a week. Which would explain my slight absences from Tumblr and my inability to get hardly any workouts in this week.

It has been a bust in terms of living healthy this week. Christmas treats + Not working out because I’ve been so busy = Blarghhh. Oh well, I will be ready to get back on it once the Holiday’s are over and all this madness subsides, haha.
